When the Mawley Hall Estate changed hands in 2018, the new owners made clear that they were committed not only to restoring the fabric of Mawley Hall but to rebuilding it as a working estate.
In order to achieve this goal, the various components of the Estate required to be managed commercially and effectively. This is now achievable, thanks to a number of important recent property acquisitions which, when fully integrated with Mawley, will enable the dream of a revitalised estate to become a reality.
The acquisitions include the purchase of nearby Kinlet Estate, Kinlet Hall itself, Birch Farm and the Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club bringing the acreage under the ownership and management of Mawley Hall LLP much closer to the size needed for economic viability. The additional arable land, pasture and woodland will generate both income and employment, as will the commercial operations of Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club and Kinlet Hall.
Mawley Hall LLP, the entity which holds and manages the enterprise on behalf of the family, is arranging its activities by means of a series of separate brands, operating under an overall umbrella brand, Green Knight Estates, a collection of properties situated in South Shropshire, comprising 3,750 acres of land, two magnificent Grade I listed early Georgian Country Houses and a thriving 27 hole golf club.
Green Knight Estates comprises four operating divisions – Kinlet Hall, Shropshire Hundred, Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club and Mawley Hall.
